The Places We Run Through
We spend a lot of our time out on the trails—running, filling our soft flasks from mountain streams, and enjoying the quiet of the outdoors. It’s easy to assume these wild spaces remain untouched, but the reality is they are increasingly affected by human impact. Finding microplastics even in remote alpine regions is a stark reminder that our water sources are far more sensitive than they appear.

Small Habits, Big Impact
We believe that habits, both good and bad, add up over time. This doesn't mean we should stop heading out into the mountains; it just means being a bit more mindful of how we treat them. Our philosophy is straightforward:
- Leave no trace: Always use biodegradable soap when cleaning your gear, and never leave anything behind on the trails or at mountain huts.
- Take care of your gear: Extending the lifespan of your equipment means buying less and creating less waste in the long run.
- Repair over replace: Whenever possible, we encourage fixing parts like mouthpieces instead of scrapping a perfectly good setup.

How we operate
As a small team based in Austria and the Netherlands, we are still figuring things out, but we try to keep our principles consistent. We work mostly remote to reduce travel impact and avoid unnecessary flights whenever there is a realistic alternative like public transport. If feasible, we use public transport for business appointments as well.
Our products are 3D printed directly in Innsbruck using 100% renewable energy. To keep waste low, we ship using minimal, recycled paper packaging printed with water-based inks. No excess plastic, no unneeded layers—just the gear you need.

An ongoing process
We don’t view sustainability as a box to tick or something to "optimise" once and be done with. It is an ongoing journey, and we want to be transparent about the fact that we are always looking to improve.
As drippr grows, we plan to find more ways to support environmental projects. For now, we remain focused on what matters most: making gear last longer and minimising our carbon footprint. If you have any tips, ideas, or feedback, please get in touch.
